Liangping District.

Liangping lies in the north-east of Chongqing on the flat land at the foot of Gaoliang Mountain, 1,892 square kilometres of it, and the flatness is in the name: renamed in 1952 because it collided with Liangshan County in Chongqing, the county took a name that records the plain. It had been Liangshan County since 553, under the Western Wei, and it became a district in November 2016. Three crafts are its wonders, bamboo blinds, New Year prints and lantern opera, and the bamboo blinds are on the national intangible heritage list. Shuanggui Temple, the Chan house founded in 1653, stands in Jindai town. The district calls itself an international wetland city.
