Jiulongpo District.

Jiulongpo lies in the south-west of Chongqing's main urban area, 432 square kilometres with 1.54 million residents and an urbanisation rate of 94 per cent. Two ranges cut across it: the Jinyun Mountains run along the western border and the Zhongliang Mountains divide the district, leaving low hills generally between 250 and 450 metres to the east and land falling from 180 to 400 metres to the west. Jiulongpo has long been Chongqing's heavy-industrial belt, with 37 very large enterprises registered here. It is also where the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute keeps its riverside campus at Huangjueping, and where a production cave of the wartime arms industry is a listed protected site.
