Huangjueping is a subdistrict of Jiulongpo District, which lies roughly between the Yangtze River and the Zhongliang Mountains. The subdistrict is small, with eight neighbourhoods among them Huangzheng Street, Tangjiawan, Xiaowan and Wulongmiao, but it is known across the city as Chongqing's creative art cluster, with a large number of studios, art shops and training institutes, an art market in the 501 complex and a graffiti street. Above the bank stands the Huangjueping campus of the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, the one higher school of art in the south-west of China.
