Kaizhou District.

Kaizhou sits in the north-east of Chongqing where the Xiao River, a tributary inside the Three Gorges reservoir, reaches its backwater end. The county was founded in 216 under the name Hanfeng; in 1373, under the Ming, it was made Kai County, and it became Kaizhou District in 2016. It borders Chengkou to the north, Wuxi and Yunyang to the east, Wanzhou to the south, and Sichuan to the west, and it is divided into 40 towns, townships and subdistricts. Kaixian, as it was, was a county of large population, resources and farmland, and also a county of heavy resettlement; after the reservoir filled, the district was made up of three areas, Zhongji, Ankang and Pingqiao. Agriculture remains its base, and the lake in the district and the forest park on its northern edge are its two landmarks.
