Longduo Mountain: a hill of old stone on the western range
The 624-metre hill west of Hechuan, the alchemist who gives its story its opening, and a thousand years of stone carving.
Longduo Mountain stands about 60 kilometres from Hechuan town at Yanwo Chishui, 624 metres above the plain, and forms the western of the district's two mountain ranges. The name comes from ridge lines that wind on like a flying dragon. Both Buddhist and Taoist practice is recorded there, along with a thousand years of old stone carving, and the hill appears in the second batch of the Chongqing historic place-name protection list.
