Xuebao: a forest park on the Daba flank
Eighteen thousand hectares of evergreen forest in northern Kaizhou, from 460 metres to 2,626, on the range's southern flank.
Xuebao Mountain
Xuebao Mountain National Forest Park lies in the north of Kaizhou, on the southern flank of the Daba Mountains, which it shares with Hongchiba in Wuxi. The park covers 18,408 hectares and its ground runs from 460 metres up to 2,626, a vertical range wide enough to hold several forest belts. Its vegetation is mainly mid-subtropical humid evergreen broadleaf forest. The park is 330 kilometres from the urban centre of Chongqing proper, and it is the district's high ground, the place where the settled middle of the county gives way to the range. Most of the Chongqing side of the Daba, with its national nature reserve, lies further north again, in Chengkou.
