Chengkou County.

Chengkou is the northernmost county-level division of Chongqing, set on the southern foot of the Daba Mountains where the municipality meets Shaanxi to the north and Sichuan to the west. The name means city gate, for a place that stands at the door of three provinces and at the throat of four directions. It covers 3,292.4 square kilometres in 24 townships and 258 villages, with 222,600 registered residents but only 193,000 actually living there, a county of net outflow; the seat is Gecheng. A Ting was set up here in the Daoguang reign and the county was renamed in 1913. Most of the Chongqing side of the Daba range, and its national nature reserve, falls inside the county.
