Yulong Cave and the water under Pengshui
The limestone cave of the Pengshui valley, read as plumbing rather than as a gallery of shapes.
Yulong Cave is the limestone cave of the Pengshui valley, one of the holes that drain a county where karst is strongly developed and the ridges stand close on both sides. The cave is a river passage: water enters at one end, runs along the bedding planes of the limestone, and leaves at the other, and the roof above it is hung with what the water has dropped. Pengshui's relief runs from 245 metres at the seat to 1,859.6 at its highest, and the whole of that interval is soluble rock in places. The name, Jade Dragon, is the kind of name these caves are given rather than a description of anything inside.
