The line to the lake: Bishan's rubber-tyred train
Bishan joined the metro in 2019 and added a driverless rubber-tyred line in 2021; the lake park is where the new town meets that network.
Xiuhu Park
Xiuhu Park is the lake park of Bishan's new town, on the western approach to Chongqing. The setting is a district of 915 square kilometres with a recorded history of more than 2,000 years, 23 kilometres west of Chenjiaping, made a district in 2014 and joined to the metro at Bishan station on Line 1 at the end of 2019. The new town is served by the rubber-tyred Yunba, a 15.4-kilometre line with 15 stations that runs from the Line 1 station to the high-speed railway station and opened on 16 April 2021. The district is one of the twelve around the central city in the 2020 metropolitan plan.
