Zhongjie

Zhongjie’s silk shops, photographic studios and other named buildings preserve traces of earlier ways of shopping. Their facades have also been repaired and reworked. Silk merchants, photographers and later retailers have occupied a streetscape repeatedly adapted to new uses.
