A Driver’s Medal, a Donor’s Certificate
Two small collection records make transport and medical support visible within Dandong’s monumental remembrance of the Korean War.
The Memorial Hall of the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea stands on Yinghua Hill in Dandong. Its Chinese name states the commemorative framework through which it presents China’s involvement in the Korean War. The complex includes a tower and an immersive panorama, while its online collection records also preserve modest things: a driver’s award and a blood-donation certificate. Those objects make transport and medical support part of the history.
