Hinoki Village

Hinoki Village occupies a block of wooden dormitories built for the Chiayi forestry division during the Japanese period. The houses were used by forest officials and their families, and the group includes a director's residence, a guest house and a public bath. After a period of neglect the site was restored, transferred to an operator in 2013 and opened to visitors in January 2014. It stands within walking distance of Beimen station on the Alishan railway.
