Guqin Tai

Guqin Tai, also called Boya Tai, stands on the west side of Turtle Hill in Hanyang, on the south side of Yuehu Lake, and is one of Hubei's protected cultural relic sites. The platform dates from the Northern Song, was damaged repeatedly, and was rebuilt in the first years of the Jiaqing reign; the complex now covers about 15 mu. In front of the hall is a square terrace of white marble about 20 square metres, said to be where Bo Ya played the piece High Mountains and Flowing Water for Zhong Ziqi. The story gave the city its word for a friend who understands: the zhiyin.
