Xiling Gorge

Xiling Gorge extends towards Nanjin Pass at Yichang and is commonly described as the longest of the Three Gorges. The Three Gorges Dam stands within its reach at Sandouping, while Gezhouba lies below the eastern exit. Cliffs remain visible on both sides of the main dam. The whole gorge cannot be described as one reservoir with a uniform depth.
