Mausoleum of the Yan Emperor

The Mausoleum of the Yan Emperor at Gaoping, a county-level city under Jincheng, is one of several places in China that claim the burial of the Yan Emperor. His deeds are not part of the documented record and the place of his burial cannot be settled, which is why the list includes the tomb at Yanling in Hunan, one at Baoji in Shaanxi, this one at Gaoping, and the Zhuxiang tomb at Shangqiu in Henan. The Shanxi site is a municipal-level cultural relic. The mausoleum that successive central governments recognised, and to which they sent officials to sacrifice, was the one at Yanling county in Hunan.
