Yunqiu Mountain and the County Beneath It
The mountain country of Xiangning County: 2,029 square kilometres at the southern foot of the Lüliang range, between the Fen valley and the Yellow River, with its seat at Changning.
Yunqiu Mountain
Yunqiu Mountain belongs to Xiangning County, in the south-west of Linfen at the southern foot of the Lüliang range. The county covers 2,029 square kilometres. Yaodu District and Xiangfen County lie to its east, Ji County to its north, and to the west the Yellow River separates it from Hancheng and Yichuan in Shaanxi. The land is a meeting point, the Fen valley on one side and the river gorge on the other, with the mountain country rising between them. The county seat is in Changning town, and the county had 206,892 residents at the 2020 census. Linfen as a whole lies in the south-east of the Loess Plateau.
