Guguan

Guguan is a pass of the Taihang frontier, in the same mountain country as Niangziguan and the Jingxing mouth, the corridor that carries one of the few roads between Shanxi and Hebei. It enters the written record used for this article in a single line: in the Qing dynasty a Guguan garrison was added, and a bazong, or company commander, was stationed there. No gate, wall line, building or date at the site is described in the material read for this piece, and no heritage listing for it is cited there. What follows sets the pass in its corridor and in the pass system of the Ming and Qing rather than describing its fabric.
