A pavilion for looking at rivers
Yugutai is a rebuilt Qing pavilion on a hill above the place where the Gan River starts, and the name means a lonely stand.
Yugutai stands on Wenbi Mountain and is also called Helan Mountain. The county gazetteer of Tongzhi year in the Qing records that the hill is high and rises alone, and that the name comes from this. It served as the seat of the northern circuit administration in the Hongwu period. The Qing building was repaired in 1959, dismantled in March 1982 and rebuilt in roughly its Qing layout in June 1983, completed the following September, and listed as a protected relic of Ganzhou city in December of that year.
