Mishui River

The Mishui (洣水), known also by the older names Mishui Jiang and Nishui, is the southern of Zhuzhou's two eastern rivers. It rises at Tianzhangchong in Yanling County, the Yan Emperor's hill country, and flows west through Chaling and Youxian counties to meet the Xiang at Hengdong. With the Lu River in the north it drains the prefecture's eastern half into the Xiang basin. Its Hengdong stretch has been approved as a national wetland park pilot since 2014.
