Xie Zilong Photographic Art Museum

The Xie Zilong Photography Museum (谢子龙影像艺术馆) is a white board-formed concrete building on the edge of the Yanghu wetland park in Changsha. Opened in September 2017 and founded by the pharmacist and photographer Xie Zilong, it is described as China's largest public-welfare museum devoted to the image. Its collection of more than ten thousand photographs runs from late-Qing albumen prints by Felice Beato and John Thomson to contemporary work. The building won a 2019 Asian architects' association gold award.
