Xingkai Lake: one border lake, two waters
A long sand ridge separates an inland reed lake from a much larger transboundary lake, while the surrounding wetlands connect their seasonal life.
A natural ridge of sand and gravel, about 90 kilometres long and one kilometre wide, divides the smaller inland lake from the larger Xingkai Lake. The larger water body crosses the China–Russia border, with its northern shore in China and southern shore in Russia.
