Bukui Mosque: an early prayer house and a protected courtyard
A 1684 gazetteer entry records a small mosque near Bukui village; today’s provincial protection boundary includes its courtyard and a 15-metre margin beyond the wall.
Bukui Mosque is part of Qiqihar’s longstanding Muslim community history. The provincial local-history record traces an early mosque to 1684, before the fortified city was established. Its surviving religious compound gives that early settlement history a continuing place in the city.
