Taipinggou: Forest Protection Along the Amur
Taipinggou brings together river gorges, mixed forest and a protected landscape on the Amur. Its woodland is a habitat as well as the setting for trails and historic gold-rush sites.
Taipinggou’s protected landscape contains narrow forested valleys as well as the broader river country nearby. Xinglong Gorge runs for about five kilometres and is roughly 400 metres deep; streams and waterfalls cut through its slopes, with boardwalks, stone steps and floating bridges following the ravine.
