A route held above the ground

Fuyuan’s municipal page describes a wetland park on Heixiazi Island and a wooden boardwalk route through the natural wetland. The route is 2,256 metres long. Raised above the wet ground, the boards give visitors a continuous path through the park and keep the walk within a defined corridor. The measurement matters because the wetland is not just a view from a distant platform: the route carries people into the landscape while its constructed surface remains distinct from the ground around it. Fuyuan presents the boardwalk as one of the island’s representative scenic experiences, a way of reading the low, river-shaped terrain from within it.

An island in a shared river landscape

Heixiazi Island lies where the Heilongjiang, also known as the Amur, meets the Ussuri. Fuyuan’s official introduction gives the island’s location at roughly 48°17′–48°27′ north and 134°24′–135°05′ east, and describes the Chinese-administered portion as 171 square kilometres. This is a border landscape as well as a natural one: the main channels and their banks mark a line between neighbouring states. The Chinese wetland park is one defined visitor site within that wider island geography. Dongji Pagoda, described by the same municipal source as a nine-storey, octagonal tower, is another distinct landmark rather than part of the wetland boardwalk itself.
