Leitai

Leitai’s raised platform lies in Wuwei’s Liangzhou District. A temple for the thunder god was later built above the Han tombs. Excavations in 1969 and 1996 uncovered two large brick tombs; the bronze horse came from the earlier discovery. The terrace preserves the place where the object entered the archaeological record, while the original is now in the provincial museum.
