Labrang Monastery

Labrang Monastery stands in Xiahe County and is counted among the six principal Gelug monasteries. Its outer prayer-wheel corridor extends for more than three kilometres. The monastery’s colleges teach fields including Buddhist philosophy, medicine, calendrical study and tantric practice.
