Guangfu Ancient City

Guangfu is a walled town in Yongnian District, surrounded by a moat and the low wetlands of the Yongnian plain. It was the seat of Guangping prefecture in the Ming and Qing, and its walls, gates and streets survive in a compact circuit. The town is also a centre of tai chi: Yang Luchan, the founder of Yang-style tai chi, was born in a village nearby, and the discipline is taught in the town today.
