Jingyanggang

Jingyanggang is a low field of sand dunes in Zhangqiu town, in Yanggu county, one of the five counties of Liaocheng. Tradition says it is the slope where Wu Song killed the tiger in the Water Margin, and a temple to Wu Song stands on it. The same ground holds the site of a walled town of the Longshan culture, so the hill has been built on for a very long time. The scenic area covers 33.3 hectares, and the dunes still roll across it. Yanggu lies in the flat west of Shandong, and the marsh country of the novel is the low ground to its east, around Mount Liang.
