Baliancheng: Reading the Plan of a Balhae Capital
Excavators measured two enclosures, traced south gates and identified palace foundations on the Hunchun plain. Roof-tile fragments and early survey maps help reconstruct how Balhae’s Eastern Capital was organized between 785 and 794.
