Liaoyuan Miners’ Tombs Memorial

Official accounts date the miners’ tomb excavation to September 1963, public display to 1964 and gallery renewal to 2015. The exhibition organizes the history in six themes, from the coal city and occupation to miners’ lives, mining activity, liberation and remembrance. The National Museum of China identifies Niu Shiqing’s wage ticket and says it was found among the remains of a dead Liaoyuan miner. CiNii catalogs the Japanese-language Xi’an Mining Office history as issued in September 1942. The ticket preserves one worker’s recorded pay; the catalog establishes the identity and physical description of a company publication.
