At Ta’er Monastery, butter becomes a temporary sculpture. In the Hehuang valleys, painted clay, embroidery and temple murals hold other kinds of time. Northward, Qinghai Lake is crossed by fish and birds; westward, salt works and telescopes bring two different kinds of work to the Qaidam Basin. Farther south, painters, carvers, herders and river patrols bring the headwaters into view through particular places and tasks. Follow the material, the water or the work: each route opens another Qinghai.

A performance listed for visitors

At Huzhu County's Nadun Estate, the official visitor page lists hua'er among the performances offered by its Jinhua troupe and identifies lead performer Yang Haichun as a Tu hua'er singer and inheritor.

The program places song alongside Tu wedding customs, Anzhao dance and the wheel swing, as part of the estate welcome for visiting groups.

A concert within a county festival

In 2023, Huzhu County's Silk Road Hua'er Arts Festival joined a regional culture festival with the sixth barley-wine tourism festival. Its announced program included a hua'er concert and Qin opera among a series of events that also featured cycling and a local potato-food competition. The event was held across two weeks in July and August, giving the concert a place in a larger public schedule built around music, food and the county's brewing culture.
