The Workers Who Built a New City
A former Shiyan factory preserves production lines, dormitories, a canteen and a screening room as part of Shenzhen’s labor history.
The Migrant Workers Museum occupies the former Shangwu Hot Coil Factory site in Bao’an’s Shiyan area. Its history connects a 1978 processing enterprise, a factory building used from 1984 and the museum conversion in 2008. Work and everyday life remain visible through different rooms and production lines.
