Jinghong Along the Lancang River

A 2026 report describes a 5,000-square-metre ecological greenway beside Binjiang Avenue in Jinghong, where people can walk along the Lancang in the evening. The report places this short riverfront route within a wider network of street greenery, pocket parks and public space. The riverbank becomes part of ordinary city life: a place to walk beside the water and move between neighbourhood green spaces.

The greenway makes the Lancang’s urban edge accessible on foot. Its modest scale gives one concrete example of how Jinghong is bringing public space to the river, connecting an evening walk with the city’s broader pattern of parks and planted streets.
