Kizilsu.

In Kizilsu Kyrgyz Autonomous Prefecture, Manas is sung as a practice. A manaschi sings without instrumental accompaniment. The folk park and protection centre host performances. The epic is not pinned to one building, and Kyrgyz life is not confined to this prefecture.

Manas is sung by a manaschi without instruments. China's 2009 inscription and Kyrgyzstan's later trilogy are different entries.

An eight-year-old on the gala stage

On New Year’s Eve 2024 the Spring Festival Gala put three minority epics on one stage, and Manas was among them: an elder transmitter from Wuqia and an eight-year-old manaschi stood together. Staged Manas now adds instruments, and sometimes rock.
