Kiln grammar in Tongchuan

National heritage firing skills and a municipal institute keep Yaozhou celadon vocabulary alive in a district with its own government seat.

Institute as guardian

Provincial industry reporting lists Yaozhou kiln ceramic firing as a national intangible cultural heritage project and names Tongchuan's ceramic research institute as the body for protection, research, inheritance and management. That institutional line matters: the kiln is not only a museum case but a managed craft with trainers and workshops inside the prefecture.

Celadon and four cut techniques

Municipal guidance for Yaozhou ceramic work asks makers to show celadon glaze and carved, incised, stamped and cut-away decoration—the vocabulary the city itself publishes. Yaozhou District maintains a separate district government portal within Tongchuan, and provincial heritage data also counts Tongchuan among cities holding Great Wall components, linking ceramic north Guanzhong to masonry defence lines.
