Three April nineteen eighty-seven

Provincial heritage writing fixes the reopening on 3 April 1987, when a crypt sealed for centuries yielded finger-bone relics and thousands of Tang court offerings. The report names gifts from seven Tang emperors among the finds. The event turned a pilgrimage temple into a documented treasury whose objects now fill a neighbouring museum.

County town, not Baoji centre

The museum stands beside the ancient temple ten kilometres north of Fufeng county seat, in a tourism zone outside Baoji's urban districts. Ministry tourism data places Famen Culture Scenic Area in Famen Town, Fufeng, Baoji, as a national 5A site—county geography that keeps the story in Fufeng, on the Wei River plain in western Guanzhong, not in Baoji's downtown.
