Where the canal leaves the capital
Tongzhou is the northern end of the Beijing–Hangzhou canal. The listed waterway goes on for more than 2,000 kilometres.
Tongzhou Grand Canal
A scenic area in Tongzhou carries the canal’s name. The inscribed property is much longer, and still in use. This place is the capital end of that route.
