A lake held against a hill
At the Summer Palace, Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill carry a Qing garden that was ruined, rebuilt and opened as a park.

The municipal culture bureau places the Summer Palace scenic area in Haidian. The heritage page puts the garden about 10 kilometres northwest of Beijing. Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill are the framework. The rest of Haidian is not this garden.
