Alxa.

Alxa is a league. The map seat is Bayanhot in Alxa Left Banner. Badain Jaran is the dune-and-lake property inscribed in 2024. The poplars are a 2025 colour forecast for Ejin Banner, not a gate in the desert.

Stories

Rolling dunes in the Badain Jaran Desert.

Lakes between the tall dunes

Badain Jaran was inscribed in 2024 for dunes and lakes: a relative height of 460 metres, and 144 inter-dunal lakes.

Poplars at Ejina, their leaves yellow and reflected in the water.

One autumn, written in advance

In 2025 the Alxa meteorological bureau forecast the Ejina poplars: half yellow around 28 September, mostly yellow around 4 October, and finished around 22 October.
