Sanya Bay

A long urban shoreline where the Coconut Dream Corridor joins an everyday coastal walk to reef-restoration work offshore.

Sanya Bay is described by the city tourism board as a coastline more than twenty kilometres long, with the Coconut Dream Corridor running beside it. The municipal city-walk guide turns that broad curve into a concrete route: begin at Haiyue Square, walk west beneath coconut trees and lawns, pause at Mi Cafe, then watch the sun set over the water. Offshore, a 2026 agriculture bureau notice records a project to maintain artificial reef facilities in nearshore waters. The route and reef project show how the public shoreline and nearshore habitat are both part of Sanya Bay’s contemporary landscape.
