Cao Cao Troop Tunnel

A brick-vaulted underground route beneath Bozhou, associated with Cao Cao but shaped by later rebuilding and repair.

The underground passages beneath Bozhou’s old city are known as the Cao Cao troop tunnel. Hefei University of Technology’s architecture account describes a network centered on Dayu Shou and extending in several directions, while noting that much of the surviving brickwork belongs to later rebuilding. The name opens a historical question; the fabric records a longer sequence of use and repair.
