A specific Wuzhishan anchor for the roadside turtle story, near the Maoyang management station and the official park entrance-service base in Maoyang Town.

The turtle incident took place on a road near the Maoyang management station. A 2024 Hainan provincial public-works notice identifies the national-park Maoyang entrance-service base as being in Maoyang Town, Wuzhishan.
