Where the river is divided
At Qingtongxia, Yellow River water is turned into the canals still named Qin, Han, and Malian. The names and the gates that divide them come from different centuries.
A brick platform, a timber hall
Tongxin Great Mosque raises an east-facing wooden prayer hall and a pavilion minaret on a grey-brick platform. The national list labels the building Qing.
A white triangle above the gorge
On the west bank at Qingtongxia, 108 lama-style stupas climb twelve platforms on Xiakou Mountain. The white brick is a later skin over older mud.
